Pure Ice Not Now and Lightning Strikes for St. Patrick's Day

Saturday, March 17, 2012
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! It looks as though I didn't catch a Leprechaun in time to get some luck since I managed to break a nail and had to cut them all. Maybe it is not such a bad thing though, sometimes shorter nails are good too.

I have for you swatches of another Crackle & Ice Duo from Pure Ice. It contains a shimmery metallic dark green named Not Now and a silver crackle named Lightning Strikes. The combo works really well to give a little pop of green through the crackle. Although for St. Patrick's day, I wonder if a gold crackle would have been a better match.

Pure Ice Not Now
A gorgeous metallic dark emerald green. Application was good, although it can streak if not careful. Overall it is very pigmented and easy to work with. I applied two coats for full coverage. Swatches are without a top coat...

Pure Ice Lightning Strikes (over Not Now)
A metallic silver crackle. It is almost a foil finish, but the silver particles are a little to big for me to classify it as a foil. It crackles easily and consistently. As before I'm very impressed with the Pure Ice crackle polishes. I applied one coat over two coats of Not Now. Swatches are with a top coat...
