Sunday Stamping: Winter

Sunday, December 2, 2012
Is it really Sunday again? Even more important, is it really December? As I try to get over how quickly time flies, I'd like to show you my manicure for this week's Sunday Stamping challenge of winter for the group Adventures in Stamping. I had planned to trim the tree yesterday, but didn't get around to it so instead I settled for trimming the tiny one on my nail...

The manicure started out with a base of Nicole by OPI Always a Silver Lining, a soft blue tinted silver shimmer. I randomly stamped snowflakes from the Bundle Monster BM-319 plate using Wet 'n Wild French White Creme. The tree also comes from the Bundle Monster series, plate BM-321. It was stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Jumpin' Jade. The snowman comes from Cheeky plate CH6 and was stamped using Essence Stamp Me! White. The difference in stamping opacity between French White Cream and Stamp Me! White is quite apparent....

The snowman got accented with black eyes and buttons (acrylic paint), a red scarf (Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar) and an orange nose (Essie Brazilliant). The tree was trimmed with a silver star and glass bullion beads in various colors for the "ornaments". To complete the look, I sponged the tips with white...

That little tree has to be my favorite part of the manicure! It is so freaking adorable and the bullion really looks like teeny tiny ornaments. I skipped the top coat to avoid making a mess, knowing full well that it wouldn't last long....

Ok, just one more look at the little tree...

I hope you forgive my horrible cuticles. The cold weather has been really rough on them :(

I'd love to know what you think of this!

P.S. Don't forget about the Fashion Inspired Contest! I want to see all your pretty manicures...

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)
