Nail-aween Challenge Day 1: Water Marble

Friday, October 5, 2012
It is finally time for me to dig into the Nail-aween Challenge that I mentioned a few days ago and what better way to start than with a water marble. I still have not decided if it is pure evil or sheer genius to start out the challenge with what I think if one of the most difficult techniques out there, a water marble. I took me a few days just to get my courage up to even try it, but I'm so excited to be able to show you something I'm really proud of today...

For this water marble I used three of the minis from the OPI So So Skullicious set and I'm happy to say they worked perfectly. I do wish they were full size bottles though, it would have been easier to get a nice drop of polish to form quickly. The colors used are Mourning Glory (black), Hi, Pumpkin! (orange) and Candlelight (yellow). I think these work so well together...

Of course I couldn't have done a water marble without a bit of cheating and after I try out the technique another time or two to make sure it works well, I will share it with all of you...

Let me know what you think of this!
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to nail techniques?
