Dazzle Dry Dragonfly...

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I would like to show you some quick nail art that I created while swatching the Dazzle Dry Blogger's Mystery collection. I really love this dragonfly image on one of the Messy Mansion plates and I have been looking for an excuse to use it again. As soon as I saw this Dazzle Dry lacquer named Dragonfly, I knew that I had found my excuse...

The manicure started out with a base of Dazzle Dry Dragonfly. I stamped the image from Messy Mansion plate MM17 using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes. I love the length of this stamping image. It allows me to choose a different section to stamp on each nail so no two nails are the same.

Dazzle Dry Blogger's Mystery Collection

As promised I would like to show you the Dazzle Dry Blogger's Mystery Collection. Five of the shades are collaborations with bloggers/nail artists including Vanessa of Nail Stories, Rina of Simply Rins, Robin Moses, Jen of The Nail Polish Project and myself. One shade designed by Dazzle Dry...

Dazzle Dry nail lacquers are intended to be worn with the Dazzle Dry nail system which includes a nail prep, base and top coat. All these swatches were done with this system. The lacquers themselves dry quickly with a matte finish. The top coat gives them their shine plus dries rock hard in five minutes. Arctic Sunset by yours truly
I know I just showed you these swatches in my last post, but I'm including them here again to have the collection swatches all together. Plus my OCD nature forces me to keep the polishes appearing here in numerical order. ;)

Arctic sunset is a white cream with a gold glass fleck shimmer. The shimmer is quite camera shy. It gives a nice warmth to the white in bright light. It was inspired by the sun reflecting off of fresh fallen snow. See my last post for more details. I used three thin coats for these swatches. The formula is a bit thick, but does provide nice, full coverage...

Comprised of eggplant purple to gold duochrome glass flecks. It is very sparkly and beautiful. It has a very saturated formula that is nearly a one coater. A bit thick and you can probably get away with just one coat, but I used two thinner coats here...

Tiger Lily by Jen of The Nail Polish Project
A cranberry pink with a gold fleck shimmer. It as a bit more fuschia to it than the swatches show, but my camera picks up more of the red. I have actually been wearing this for the last 24 hours and loving it. It has a wonderful easy to apply formula. Two coats provides great coverage as seen here...

Presenting Dazzle Dry Arctic Sunset by Wacky Laki!

I'm so excited today to present to you Arctic Sunset, my collaboration shade with Dazzle Dry. I was so thrilled when they offered me the chance to dream up a shade for the Blogger's Mystery Collection for this Winter. As you can imagine, I jumped up and down with excitement and gave a resounding 'yes!' at the chance to collaborate on this venture. I promise to show you the rest of the gorgeous shades in the collection in my next post, but for now a little bit about this beauty...

For me, a Winter collection had to include a snowy white. There is something about watching the snow falling that just makes me giddy with excitement. I feel like a little kid facing a fun a day of making snowmen, sledding and having snowball fights. Arctic Sunset is a snowy white with a touch of gold glass flecks that reminds me of the sun reflecting of the snow...

Like all Dazzle Dry lacquers, Arctic Sunset is best when used with the Dazzle Dry system of nail prep, base and top coat. You can get more info on this system in my previous post. When used with this system it dries rock hard in 5 minutes and lasts up to 4 weeks. It is vegan, non-yellowing and non-toxic (contains no Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP or Camphor)...

Much to my frustration the gold flecks were really camera shy. They are most prominent in direct light and give the white a bit of warmth. The formula is a little on the thick side so I used three thin coats for full even coverage...

Dazzle Dry Glam Nuvo Swatches and Review

Today I would like to show you swatches of the new Dazzle Dry Glam Nuvo Fall collection. I was very impressed the first time that I tried the Dazzle Dry system earlier this Summer and I continue to be blown away by it. The colors are gorgeous, the polishes are super fast trying, they are toxin free and vegan. I really couldn't ask for more...

Please see my earlier post about the Dazzle Dry system. These polishes are meant to work with a specific base and top coat so they will not give the same results if used with anything else. Everything dries so fast that I can hardly believe it. Completely dry in 5 minutes! The polishes on their own dry to a satin/matte finish and you can actually watch them dry which always fascinates me. The top coat seals it all in and gives it a gorgeous shine...

Glam'matazz
A foil metallic blue. It is fairly sheer on first coat and needed three coats to build up to full coverage. Love this color so much. I used it for my glitter manicure just a few days ago...

Glamtastic!
A duochrome glass fleck that shifts from golden to green to purple. The glass flecks seem to be suspended in a blacked base. It is relatively sheer and took four coats for me to get coverage that I was happy with, but with how fast these dry, that was not a problem at all. The formula was very easy to work with and apply. It is so gorgeous...
