Incoco Tribal Dance Nail Polish Strips

Thursday, August 22, 2013
I recently received some Incoco nail polish strips for review and I would like to show you one of the styles that I got today. This design is called Tribal Dance. It features a fun mix of patterns in a metallic silver and fuschia color...

Incoco nail polish strips are made of real nail polish. They are very similar to Sally Hansen and OPI nail strips. They stretch easily to fit curved nails. These seemed a bit softer and stretchier than other strips that I have tried. With this softness however, they seem more fragile. I pulled on one of them a bit too hard when stretching over the tip and it ripped right along the nail edge. Luckily only the excess ripped off and I didn't have to redo the nail...

There are 16 double-ended strips in each package. Once the inner plastic package is opened, they must be used right away since they do dry out. They are approximately 3 cm in length so they work for both short and long nails. They are long enough that I could have easily cut them in half and used just one strip of 8 for an entire manicure. That is why I wish that each strip of 8 was packaged in a separate wrap (similar to the two inner packages of Sally Hansen nail strip) to allow me to save the second strip for a future mani or accent nails...

The application directions are included in the package and are fairy straight forward.
1. Remove clear cover
2. Peel polish strip
3. Remove silver tab & select end
4. Apply to nail & gently stretch to fit
5. Remove excess

My tips from trying these would be to be gentle when stretching them as they do rip if pulled to hard. Also, work one nail at a time and make sure that every little bit is firmly attached to the nail. As they start to dry, any areas not pressed to the nail will harden and you will not be able to get them to stick later. This becomes likely spots for picking and the mani won't last as long. If properly applied (and not picked at) these can last up to two weeks...

I don't wear nail polish strips very often, but when I do I like to find designs that I can't easily dupe with nail art. The Tribal Dance pattern is exactly that. I was really sad to have to take these off since they are so pretty. Ah, the sad life of a nail blogger trying to stay on schedule ;)

Speaking of removing, since these are made of real nail polish, they remove easily with acetone or your favorite nail polish remover. No nail damage from trying to pull these off!

Look, I've do have two hands ;)

What do you think of these nail strip?

You can find this, and lot of other designs on the Incoco website.

Thanks for looking!
