Incoco Fright Night...

Tuesday, October 29, 2013
Today I would like to show you another beautiful set of nail polish appliques from Incoco. These nail wraps named Fright Night are namesake for the Incoco Fright Night Halloween collection this year. These are perfect for some quick nail art to get you in the holiday mood...

The set come with 16 double ended polish strips to fit different nail sizes. They come in an airtight package and should be used shortly after opening or they will start to dry out. If you have shorter nails, they can be cut in half allowing you to save some for a second manicure. Since they do dry out, seal them either with a vacuum food packager or in the original package using the included piece of silver tape...

These nail polish strips are easy to work with and apply. They stretch well to fit curvy nails. For application directions please take a look at either my previous Incoco reviews or the Incoco website. These nail appliques are packed full of sparkly glitter for a little bit of fun Halloween bling...

I decided to have a little bit of fun with these strips because I wasn't quite ready to part with the adorable Spooktacular ghosts from yesterday. From my leftover strips I cut out a few little ghosts and added them to today's manicure. They are not the easiest to cut out since they are tiny, but it was worth it...

And these little ghosts keep me company at night! I had a blast wiggling my fingers in the dark and making these cuties "fly"...

Incoco Spooktacular

Monday, October 28, 2013
With Halloween just a few days away, I would like to show you another fun set of nail polish appliques from Incoco named Spooktacular. These are glow in the dark nail strips which feature what are quite possibly the most adorable ghosts ever...

Each set comes with 16 double ended appliques to fit different nail sizes. There is plenty for a full manicure and a bit left to spare. They are sealed in an air tight package and must be used shortly after opening. Application of these strips is quick and easy. If you are not familiar with how to apply them, take a look at my previous Incoco reviews or the Incoco website. I followed the instructions on the package to apply them, except I used acetone to gently remove the strips at the tip rather than file them off...

As far as nail wraps go, these seemed a bit thicker than other Incoco strips, but were still very easy to stretch and perfectly mold to the nail. I'm so in love with these adorable ghosts...

Just look at them glow! Ahh, they are even brighter in reality...

What do you think of these?

Incoco Halloween 2013 Collection: Fright Night

Wednesday, October 2, 2013
I would like to show you the new Incoco Halloween collection, Fright Night, which will be released today! This collection includes four designs that are perfect for Halloween. Two are rich glittery orange shades and two are fun glow in the dark appliques. I decided to show one of each style today and the remaining two I will show you another day...

Incoco After Dark
A gorgeous black to orange glitter gradient. The glitter base of these makes them a bit thicker than other polish strips, but they are still very stretchy and pliable. For full application instruction visit my previous Incoco polish strips review or the Incoco website. Rather than file off the excess at the tips, I used a q-tip and gently melted it off the excess as I showed in my previous post. This helps me get a nice wrapped look to the tips which is not quite as cut and sharp looking as what I get with filing...

This makes me think of flames...

The strips come in a package with 16 double ended nail strips to fit any nail size. They are made of real nail polish and start to dry out upon contact with air so they need to be used right after opening...

Incoco Bone Rattling
A fun glow-in-the-dark skull design. I'm wearing this right now and they are so cute that I truly don't want to take them off. Maybe they will last until Halloween? These were also a bit thicker than other nail strips that I have tried, but they were still stretchy and pliable, easy to apply and smooth out...

They glow really bright in the dark. I couldn't stop staring...

Each package contains 16 double ended nail strips to fit any nail size. There is enough here for a full manicure plus some to spare. I put my leftovers back in the package and sealed it with tape in hopes that this will preserve them for a bit longer so I can play with them again before Halloween. They do dry out on contact with air so only time will tell if I sealed them well enough...

Aren't these fun?

Incoco Total Bombshell...

Thursday, September 5, 2013
Today I would like to show you some nail polish strips that I'm absolutely in love with. Let me tell you, I did not want to take them of. These are the Incoco Total Bombshell nail polish strips. They look like a glitzy, glittery watermarble that I had to put very little effort toward achieving...

The Incoco nail polish strips are made out of real nail polish. They are Big3Free and remove easily with nail polish remover. They have a glitter base with a beautiful design over them. Even with the glitter, they were still easy to remove, although I was reluctant to do so. These strips apply similarly to other nail polish strips such as the Sally Hansen ones. These are stretchy and flexible. They do rip easily so when stretching make sure to do it slowly. Any sudden movements may result in tears...

Each package comes with 16 strips in varying sizes to allow you to find the right fit for your nails. The strips are packaged in an airtight plastic wrap and must be used as soon as it is opened since they do dry out. As always, I wish the two strips of 8 were packaged individually so those with shorter nails had the option of only using one by cutting strips in half....

The package includes easy to follow instructions, but if you've used other nail strips before then you probably know the routine:
1. Remove clear cover
2. Peel polish strip
3. Remove silver tab & select end
4. Apply to nail & gently stretch to fit
5. Remove excess

As I mentioned, these can rip if pulled too suddenly so make sure to do it gently.

The directions suggest to remove the excess with a nail file, however this always leaves a rather rough looking edge at the tip, similar to what I got with the previous set I tried. Since these are made of real nail polish, I decided to try removing the edge with acetone rather than a nail file. The idea comes from a reader who mentioned that she cleans up around the cuticles with acetone.

Here is what I did...
Follow steps 1-4 above to apply the nail polish strip then gently pull it down, wrapping it around the tip as shown below...

Place a q-tip soaked in acetone, underneath the nail to gently melt along the edge of the strip....

Pull away the excess and you are left with a strip wrapped tip, which I personally think looks better than the file cut one. Please pardon my left over cotton fuzz...

This method is a bit messier than using a nail file, especially if you melt too much of the strip and it gets on your skin, but for me it was completely worth the effort to end up with a wrapped tip. It gives it more of a nail art vs a nail foil look.

I'd love to know what you think of these! Don't hesitate to comment below :)

Incoco Tribal Dance Nail Polish Strips

Thursday, August 22, 2013
I recently received some Incoco nail polish strips for review and I would like to show you one of the styles that I got today. This design is called Tribal Dance. It features a fun mix of patterns in a metallic silver and fuschia color...

Incoco nail polish strips are made of real nail polish. They are very similar to Sally Hansen and OPI nail strips. They stretch easily to fit curved nails. These seemed a bit softer and stretchier than other strips that I have tried. With this softness however, they seem more fragile. I pulled on one of them a bit too hard when stretching over the tip and it ripped right along the nail edge. Luckily only the excess ripped off and I didn't have to redo the nail...

There are 16 double-ended strips in each package. Once the inner plastic package is opened, they must be used right away since they do dry out. They are approximately 3 cm in length so they work for both short and long nails. They are long enough that I could have easily cut them in half and used just one strip of 8 for an entire manicure. That is why I wish that each strip of 8 was packaged in a separate wrap (similar to the two inner packages of Sally Hansen nail strip) to allow me to save the second strip for a future mani or accent nails...

The application directions are included in the package and are fairy straight forward.
1. Remove clear cover
2. Peel polish strip
3. Remove silver tab & select end
4. Apply to nail & gently stretch to fit
5. Remove excess

My tips from trying these would be to be gentle when stretching them as they do rip if pulled to hard. Also, work one nail at a time and make sure that every little bit is firmly attached to the nail. As they start to dry, any areas not pressed to the nail will harden and you will not be able to get them to stick later. This becomes likely spots for picking and the mani won't last as long. If properly applied (and not picked at) these can last up to two weeks...

I don't wear nail polish strips very often, but when I do I like to find designs that I can't easily dupe with nail art. The Tribal Dance pattern is exactly that. I was really sad to have to take these off since they are so pretty. Ah, the sad life of a nail blogger trying to stay on schedule ;)

Speaking of removing, since these are made of real nail polish, they remove easily with acetone or your favorite nail polish remover. No nail damage from trying to pull these off!

Look, I've do have two hands ;)

What do you think of these nail strip?

You can find this, and lot of other designs on the Incoco website.
