Sunday Stamping: Matte

It is time for another challenge in the group Adventures in Stamping. This week the theme is to create a manicure with some aspect of matte to it. That gave me the perfect excuse to pull out my Essie matte topcoat, but really, I love that stuff so much that I will take any excuse I get. It was also an excuse to try out the gold from the recently released Essence Twilight polishes. For the manicure I started out with the Nicole by OPI Deck the Dolls and stamped it with Essence A Piece of Forever using a paisley pattern (and it's mirror image) from Cheeky jumbo plate I. Then using a dotting tool I added random dots and a few pieces of loose gold glitter...

The colors and the delicate pattern remind me of beautiful fabric such as an Indian sari. It must be the mood that I'm in since the last Sunday Stamping challenge of stamping over glitter also reminded me of Indian designs. Maybe it is the gold that leads my mind in that direction. Either way, I love it...
